Harris Tweed has the world famous ORB trademark which appears on every length of Tweed and has been stamped as genuinely hand woven in the outer Hebrides of Scotland – Harris, Lewis and Uist.
Harris Tweed is made from pure virgin wool which has been dyed, spun and woven in the homes of Crofters in the Outer Hebrides. This is the world’s only commercially produced hand woven Tweed and is subject to the Harris Tweed Act 1993.
